Boomshanka!!
What a day on the punt we had with our NZ tips yesterday! Well and truly back on form!
Our seven tips produced an astonishing four winners, and two seconds at some outrageous odds!
Star of the show was Jack In The Box (2 units ew), we’d been very patient with him over his 18 runs, and despite us thinking he may have needed the run, he bolted in at a very juicy $26/$5.
Queen Sarabi (4 units ew) produced another superbly timed run to get up at $9.30/$2.90.
Pearl of Alsace (10 unit win) was cruising to an easy win but was made to work hard at the death, hanging on for a nice win at $1.90.
Crocetti (10 unit win) was our other sell-the-farm tip, and he duly made it 4 from 4 with an easy win at just a $1.20, definitely bound for bigger things!
Cindy Falls (2 units ew) ran a bold second for us, paying $3.10, and Smilin’ Joe almost got there for us on Little Joe (3 units ew, $3.00) just denying us the $13K qadi, but no regrets on a busting day in NZ for us, with a 57% winning strike rate and an 86% return rate!
Over in Aus, we stayed up to proudly watch Kiwi Imperatriz go through her gears and break her own record at the Valley, she’s surely the best 1000m sprinter around right now, and looks a shoo-in for the Manikato. Asfoora (5 units ew, $1.85) ran a superb race and had everything else covered as she made the quinella.
Other placings included Kattegat ($1.40). Knife’s Edge ($2.00), Raging Rush ($1.80), and Sachem ($1.35).
OK, 28 from the book on another big day of racing, and with our wallets full of cash, we head to NZ for two meetings and another ten in Aussie, NZ first, Aus to follow…

Will be hard to get past this hotpot fav in Mustang Valley, these two are around the $20 mark but could spice up exotics…

TROBRIAND, PENVOSE LAD
Riccarton, 5
Trobriand the class horse of the race, ran third to Crocetti in only run this prep, looks hard to beat as the $2.80 fav. PL hasn’t missed the frame in four runs, placed at Listed level and is the value bet here, easy EW punt at $6.

SECOND THOUGHT
Riccarton, 6
Noted last November with a nice win here then won again here under Joe in March. Resumes today, good stats, though the heavy might catch him, and it’s maybe a bit short, meaning she’ll probably need the run. Can feature at $18…

Good record here in her short career, another one resuming, race dominated by a hotpot fav but she can feature as a $15 shot.

Lightly raced, progressing well, backmarker who will appreciate the rise to the mile today, she’ll be descending on these late. Ms Kah jumps on, $5.50 second fav, EW all day but fav hard to beat…

THE INEVITABLE, DEMOCRACY MANIFEST, REDIENER

One of my fav horse, The Inevitable is a tiny little thing but possesses a devastating finish, and Pires comes over from Tassie to ride. Very open event betting-wise, but he looks a nailed-on placegetter at $8. DM also produced a last to first run to win for us last time out at Newcastle, and rates EW at $11. Redeiner was impressive in the G3 2 weeks ago, also at $11 and another solid EW chance.

R is in great form, only missed the frame once in seven, great EW punt here at $5.50. Frumos resumes, has won first up but this is her sternest test to date, $34 shot.
