Been expecting more from him last two runs after the nice second when spruiked up at Ashburton in November, but he hasn’t gone on with it. Tends to get back early, so not sure the drop back to 1800m will suit, but it doesn’t look a strong maiden, so EW shot at $21.

Folded badly in the heavy 4 days ago at Wingatui, she’s better than that and the soft going suits her far better today. Small field, tight betting race, can win this as $3.30 fav.

She was spruiked up to win in March 2022 and duly obliged at $23, then ran sixth 11 days later, but has obviously had some issues as she returns from a 649 day spell. Tends to get back so the drop to 1400m may not suit, and you’ve have to think she’ll need the run, but worth a small EW punt at $26.

CB’s two wins have been at this T&D and on this going this time last year. Has been close up in most subsequent races without winning and rates an EW shot here at $11, as does IMT at the same price. She won three in a row at Pak and has supplied two juicy placings at $26 and $17, so why not?

Close up next up higher in grade (BM68) before failing in an Open grade event in July, earning a trip to the paddock.
