A late scratching saw us reduced to five yesterday, pick of the bunch being Genjiro (3 units ew) who stepped up on recent efforts to run third at a juicy $6.40 the place.

He’s an interesting watch today, back after 805 days away, obviously had issues but showed good form previously, going in the book on his second race clearing maidens in some style. Has trialled up a couple of times recently, the 1300m looks a bit short and he’d definitely prefer more give in the ground, but he’s got OP up top, so you never know. $14 on offer…

Another short fav who’ll take some beating, outside of her it’s wide open and our two sit around the $15 mark. Both have some solid formlines and are more than capable of finishing in the frame.

And again, another fav that just looks unbeatable today, the odds-on won’t supply any value but this lad finished second to Orchestral in the Avondale Guineas two weeks ago, so I’d rather back him for a $3.20 place.
