Working towards a win and gets his chance here in an open betting race as $4.60 second fav.

Double Take, Let Fly

DT is ex-HK and was building towards a win with a third and two seconds last prep and resumed 17 days ago over a far too short 1300m. Better suited to the mile here, down in grade but hasn’t featured in eight runs on firm ground. $9 on offer.
Let Fly was noted in Nov when blocked for a run and a cert beaten. Since then she won and placed in four races, before racing up in grade at Ellerslie then heading for a spell. Resumes after three months, has nice T&Ds here and goes well on the firm, also a $9 shot.
BET: Both 3 units ew in another very open betting race, could fill exotics.

Tough race to start with several good horses on show and Mrs Chrissie bolting in two weeks ago, hard to beat as second fav at $4.
Luna Cat produced a huge run to get up on the Hillside track 10 days ago at a very nice $14 for us, Currie sticks, EW at $10 here.

Easiest grade he’s gone round in for some time, hasn’t threatened much this prep but rates an EW shot at $7 in this, he’s 9:3-5 at the distance.

Done nothing this prep but pushes out to a more suitable distance. Newitt has form onboard (6:2-2), watch for her late as a $51 shot.

Baraqiel, Pioneer River
Caulfield R6
Baraqiel has been superb, with three wins from three, and surely bound for better things. Sternest task to date, he’s up against some other [progressive types, but happy to stick with him in this as $3.40 fav.
PR hasn’t won for some time but is very consistent, can fill a place at $11 under Ms Gaudray.

CL has been outstanding in his last two, bulleting home on both occasions. Returns from a short break of 56 days, had a trial to tune-up 12 days ago, Celine sticks and no reason he can’t win this, especially with those superb stats. HOB is pretty honest, rarely far away and can fill a place at $6.

Gets back but has a good finish in him, so the extra 200m should suit. Good on soft going bit little form on heavy, EW at $19.

Done nothing this prep, back in grade a touch and is 2:1-1 on heavy but needs plenty on improvement to figure at $34.

Well-supported at Matamata in March and flew home to confirm the confidence in her for an impressive debut. Immediately hooked over to Aussie by Tony Gollan and took her Aussie bow 24 days ago at Doomben with a spirited second from last, earning at big next-time flag, so worth a decent EW bet at $5.

Resumes from a short spell with impressive first-up stats. Spaces her best efforts out somewhat, so can’t discount her even at $19 in this, though top two in betting look hard to beat.

Super-consistent, great T&Ds, Tourneur 11:1-8 onboard, only blot is she’s untried on heavy. Still an easy EW bet at $4.80.

Morphettville R3
HM backing up after 3 days, tried to lead all the way at Gawler fading to third late on, so the drop back could assist, EW at $8.50. Scamster was scratched from that race, done little recently, $34 chance.

W was very consistent up till the break, has form first-up and is 1:1 on heavy but this is surely too short, $41 shot.
S disappointed 7 days ago, two years since he won, owes us big time, $5.50 on offer.

Social Conscience

His two runs for seconds in March had merit, then he never emerged from the ruck at Caulfield before a good finish for a close fifth at Cranbourne a month ago. Ran third at Sale 18 days ago, jockey has had success, EW at $11.
