December boomed home on debut after winning two trials and has won twice since, defeating Witz End, with Aquilifer running third, she’s run two nice places since. December presents as the $4.60 fav today, with Wazza retaining the ride, and looks a n0brainer EW bet. Aquilifer supplies the value at $34.

She’s won 2 from 5 this prep and drops back significantly in grade for this. Decent T&D stats, gets Billy Pinn up top and runs as second fav here at $4.80, EW again.

Another class-dropper but not sure he’s doing enough right now. Has won here and likes the distance, maybe a place at $21.

Earn a next-time flag at Trentham six weeks ago with a nice third, and backed it up there three weeks ago, sneaking up the fence for a superb win for us at $15. Over more ground today, but is 1:1 at this distance and 2:1-1 on the track. Likes it heavy, looks the winner in this as $3.10 fav.

FREE SPIRIT
Wanganui, 6
She returned from a 6 month break last month after finishing last prep with a couple of runs down the track, however, her previous form had been superb through the middle of last year, with three wins and a second from four runs, one of them at $17 for us. We thought it might be a tune-up for her over the too-short 1400m, and so it proved, though she wasn’t that far off the winner. She’ll have taken benefit from that run, has won second up, the mile is more suitable and the heavy is no problem. Jockey has won twice onboard, the sleeper in this at $26…

Two runs back for second have merit, stays in the BM70 ad loves this distance. Nolen jumps on, $34 looks awfully good value…

The second at MV on resuming behind this fav was excellent, not sure why she failed at Bendigo 14 days ago, maybe it was the jump to 1400m, but she really didn’t get into the race. Will better at her second try this prep, has won at 1400m before, rates a good EW in this at $7.

On the face of it, you’d say no, but he loves this track, and back up to the 2000m will suit. G1 placegetter, needed the resuming run 14 days ago, Benny Allen jumps on, watch for him late in this, $19 on offer…

He’s a model of consistency, another one who loves this track, and produced a huge finish from last to run a close second at $17 a month ago. The $5 makes him an easy EW bet.

Noted on debut 13 days ago, punched home to win when well-supported at Terang, and while this is obviously tougher, the manner of that win suggests there’s improvement likely as she moves up to the 1200m. $23 makes her a value bet…

Two eye-catching runs last prep, where she screamed home for third at big odds and then won a Midway at Randwick for us in late Oct. Back after 172 days, and has run two seconds in as many trials recently, so we were happy to spruik her chances when resuming 10 days ago, and boy, was she the eyecatcher! Tommy Berry produced a great finishing burst from her to run fourth less than a length from the winner. Got next-time written all over her, and her she is. If they can sit her a touch closer in the run, she’s a win chance at $6.50 in this very open betting race.

Went in book Jan last year when she put them to the sword at Dubbo before being put out for over a year. Came back in Feb this year and immediately won two before two close finishes up in grade.

LRTD needed the resuming run, as we indicated, far too short for him, but this different. Up to the 1800m will suit, as will the firmer ground, if Nash can get him closer in the run, he can feature late here as an $8 shot. Rondino also needed the resuming run, will be fitter for that, but a $16 shot in this.

Fav looks awfully hard to beat here, but our two are at $18 and have place ambitions. Roots flew home in the G3 a month ago for third, gets JMac onboard, that’s enough alone… LTF has run two good races this prep at G2 and G1 level, Schofield sticks.
