Tri, tri tri again!!
Well we broke new ground yesterday, three picks in one race filling the trifecta with Gem of the Lochs, Taikun Tommy and Ultimate Man obliging. We suggested backing all three at 3 units ew, and what a reward: $17.10/$3.90, $2.50 and $2.20, with the trifecta at $552 (NZTAB) or $891 (bet365). If you took a couple of bucks worth of them boxed up, as we did, you’ll be a happy punter!
And to add to that, Focus (3 units ew) did find a finish, running second at $3.60…

With our three tips in the first five on the betting, we’ve every chance of repeating yesterday’s trifecta success. We tipped ZZ to go well after to promising runs this prep and he cruised in for us at $8.50 $4.40 on offer here. BTW rarely far away, and while this is a step up in distance, he’s a shot at $6.50. Kusuda is the lesser chance of these, but does like the heavier grounds. $7 for her.

Our insider bet at Ruakaka last week who survived a hideous drift from fav out to $8.50 but won anyway… Our mole says she’s come through that OK, and back to her fav track looks very hard to beat in this as $2.15 fav. Jessica Allen sticks, you know what to do…

Needed the run at Hastings three weeks ago after 10 months away, and she’s 2:2 on this track. Jess Allen jumps on this one too, $4.60 second fav.

Nice third behind Zeefa Zed two weeks ago make him a good EW bet in this at $9.

Won this last year, and has good T&D for this. Can bounce back after a plain run last time. $4.20 on offer in a small field.

Drops in grade for this, though she’ll need to be at her best to beat this hot fav in Kin, but she’s done it before. $5 on offer.

Ran behind Kin on resuming, can feature late as $13 shot.

In fine form this prep, his recent third in the Monash an eye-catcher under Yendall, who sticks today. Back up to the 1200m should suit, he’s been finishing off his races well, and has good all-round stats for this. Tight betting race, you can get $4.25 for him at the mo.

Rarely far off, up against another hot fav, but EW shot at $11.

My mate’s horse resumes after a handy forth on debut when he ran very greenly and pulled his head off. Jay Ford sticks, and his after-race comments suggested he’d benefit from that run. Nicely drawn, he’ll take a sit and stable are confident he can improve on the first run. He’s a juicy $41 on 365…

Her two thirds this prep at SP $21 were great efforts, just not sure why she failed last time out, fading to last from a midfield run. Better than that, and capable of bouncing back as a $14 shot here.

CL was very impressive on his Aussie debut. Came over with a big rep and certainly lived up to it. Hard to beat as $2.10 fav. Sweysive has got up a couple of times for us, and at $17 provides the vale in the race.
