Boy was ridden too far back to ever be the winner, but he flew home for second, not bad on resuming and an indicator for next time.
Ditto for Jet Jitsu, last all the way and romped in for fifth, both will do better over longer by the look of it…

Gave ‘em a bath in early May by 8.5 lengths on resuming at Rotorua on the heavy surface, and she looked very hard to beat 21 days ago at Te Rapa but couldn’t pick them up after racing back, doubt that McNab will make the same mistake today, primed to win this as $2.50 fav.

Serial mudder resuming from a long spell, trialled a month ago and she’s rarely far away, though this looks a little short of her distance, though she has won over 1400m. EW in this at $23.

Noted booming home in a dominant debut at Otaki in October and she backed that up a month later with a well-supported win at Riccy before rising to G2 level in December. Resumed 20 days ago and despite a betting drift she was very resilient winning over the 820m dash. Looks very hard to beat as $1.50 fav.

Back on turf and heavy going 20 days ago and he put them away in style at a massive $23.80 to break maidens. Obviously a step up here but he’s well capable of going on with it, especially on the heavy going, $10 on offer…

Fav looks hard to beat here, but MB has been in good form this prep, winning here two weeks ago, on-pacer who can figure here as $4.80 second fav. Recommendation ran behind this fav 21 days ago in the Bel Esprit but will be fitter and has an impressive 4:4-0 record second-up, must go in at $6.50.

He sure did on resuming 20 days ago, sweeping up late to win by a head. This is harder, buy he looks a progressive type, easy EW bet at $7 in an open betting race…

Another fav hard to beat, but Mollynickers is going well with two seconds in her past two, EW at $5.50. MR’s form has dropped away, needs to lift somewhat, $71 shot.

Another open betting event, and our mare has been going well, the jump to 1800m should suit and Lloyd is 2:2 up top, $6 on offer.

Noted her on NY Day, missed the start by five lengths and screamed home to miss by a nostril. We’d been waiting for him to resume and he did so last month with another huge finish for third. Prefer him over longer, but if he can jump well he can win this at $4.40.
