Friday Famer!
Just the four yesterday, but it produced a Hall of Famer in Saulok (3 units ew). We suggested he had talent and he’d had a few breaks in his career, but he was back to his best in the last at Albany, getting up at $12.10/$4.20, with More Likely running fourth.
We suggested exotics, and if you sorted it out, then there was a trifecta of $658 and a first four of $3492, plus he anchored us to a share of the $1940 qadi!
Silver Bo was returning from a huge 628 day break and ran an encouraging fourth, next-timer for sure…

Been going well, on-pacer dropping back to 1400m, can give ‘em something to catch as $3.40 fav.

Been a while since Pearl saluted for us, has been racing at top level. Won her only start this track and at this distance, $4.80 fav, the stable have come out and said she’s primed to win this, back in grade and weighted nicely, try her again…

MR bounced back to win after two thirds. She’s going well this prep, easy EW bet as $4.60 second-fav.
EF boomed home for a win this week last year and followed with two more wins before a couple of breaks. Resumes from a 133 day spell, has track, distance and first-up form, though might need this as $51 outsider, keeping her safe…

Rosehill R1
He was massively impressive winning two races in May in dominant fashion, before running a strange race, very stop-start, but looked the winner about 200m out as he hit the front only to fade late in a blanket finish for a second at Wagga in June. Resumed early December at Canberra and cruised home then just ran out of puff a month ago at Randwick at the mile, so the drop back to 1500m should suit. He’s 4:2-2 on soft, rate him a great EW bet at $7.50 in an open betting event.

Another one back from a long spell (273 days), but he’s 2:2-0 first-up, 2:1-1 at the distance and jockey is 7:4-2 up top. Has run a first and a second in trials and he’s today’s sleeper at $51.

In good form this prep with just the one fail. Generally on pace and that’s where he settled 8 days ago for the win at Queanbeyan. Fav looks hard to beat but our lad goes in as a decent EW bet at $8.

Rudhyar is now plying his trade out west, and the big drop in grade worked on Boxing Day as he got up on the line for us. Up to the BM64 13 days ago, and while he hit the front promisingly on the run-in, he just got reeled in by the fast-finishing fav. Up in grade a touch today, gets B Parnham and I reckon $17 is generous.
