Boom! Three winners and some nice odds!!
A tremendous Friday book of eight horses rewarded us yesterday with three winners and two thirds.
Free Spirit (2 units ew) defied his rank outsider status to bolt in at $17.10/$3.50, another one to add to our Hall of Fame.
Cool Lad (8 unit win) sat closer to the pace, and when asked he powered home for a nice win he’d been progressing towards at $3.
And Sacred Kiwi (2 units ew), where did he pull that run from? Hadn’t threatened in ages and he romps home at $4.50/$1.60.
Sea Monarch (2 units ew) improved in a similar fashion, flashing home for third at $2.60 the place, as did Wanjiru (3 units ew), sneaking up the rails to run a nice third, the extra distance up to the mile suiting him as we suggested, paying a whopping $6.90 the place.

Tough one this, with both our tips at the top of the book. Gospodin’s two wins in a row have come here, while JJ is yet to place here in three runs. That should change today, but I’m still leaning towards Gospodin.

We spruiked him up last week as a probable front runner who would be hard to catch, and that’s how it panned out, winning at $13 for us. While he’s not won here, he’s can repeat the dose here, though he is up in grade, so EW best at $15.

Three live chances in this with the scratching of Legio Ten. Setteveli was an insider’s tip last time out and duly got home for us at big odds. Back to 1100m should not be an issue, and though he hasn’t raced down the Flem straight, the stable are confident. $9 if you’re quick. Cotel and CFC both have good credentials at $8 and $13, include.
