Route 66%
Sunny Coast abandoned half way through left us with nine yesterday, and a more than decent return to form with two winner, a second and two thirds at some juicy odds!
Top of the list came Joltin’ Joe (Di Maggio), 3 units ew and paid $11.20/$3.80.
We knew Philosopher had a decent engine after his return win a couple of weeks back, and he seems over his previous difficulties winning with a leg in the air (10 unit win, $2.00, $2.80 if you got on early…)
Polylithic (3 units ew) finished off better than his first two runs, placing second at $2.30, and She’s Unusual debuted in Aussie after one run for one win in NZ, but edged out by the hot fav to run second at $1.20, more to come from her we suspect…
And Little Rich Boy (3 units ew) kept up his very consistent form over his fav distance, running third at a very nice $5.00 the place.
A 66% dividend return from our tips yesterday, not a bad precursor to the weekend!!

HH was back in form 28 days ago, running a fast-finishing third at a whopping SP of $78. Will start around the $3 mark as fav by the look of it, and the extra 200m should suit on the face of it, but he’s unplaced in seven goes at this distance. Nevertheless, we’re on him…

Impressive at the Valley 22 days ago, even came from near the back, cruising to win on the tight track. Will have a job beating this well-fancied fav, but can back EW at $6 (don’t forget your Bonus Bets…)

Nice return on MCup Day under Olly, running second at odds. Comes to hand early in his preps, scratched because of the heavy going last week and gets the going he prefers today, second fav at $5, easy EW bet.

Changing jockeys like he changes his underwear, but three with wins in his last four, it doesn’t seem to have done him any harm. Generally up on the pace, so the drop to 1200m no problem, EW at $8.50 in a tight betting race.

Possesses a decent finish so the push out to the 2100m should suit, $7.50 in a small field.

As documented 11 days ago, ONM knuckled when coming out of the gates, and he flew home to just miss by a length. Marked as a next-timer, Souquet sticks, and can see him steaming home to win this as the $3.50 fav. KOTB a touch ordinary since winning in October, but a chance in this at $16.
