Tuxedo resumes from a five month break after running seventh as fav in the NZ Derby, the only time he’s missed the top two, so that’s super form to follow. Prefer over longer but he’s trialled up well and has won over 1400m and on heavy, hard to beat as $1.80 fav.
Habana is not a noted first-upper, suggest we wait for his next run, $7.50 on offer.

Three in this at varying odds…
Adolphus resumes from a 5 month break, he was rarely far away prior and has won a trial in the meantime. He’s 3:2-0 first-up, first go on heavy, and $6 second fav in an open betting race, will go close.
We gave King Taurus a shot three weeks ago, and he duly obliged, wining by 7 lengths at nice odds for us. Ran third in a trial under J Ford 5 days ago, watch for him late at a juicy $14.
The Impeckable resumed from a 192 day break in early June after a super finish at Orange in November, but needed the run. Then finished fast mid-June, earning a next-time tag, and duly delivered a month ago with a dominant win at Warren. Stepped up in grade and distance three weeks ago with a solid third, and is still in this at $18.

Struggled a touch over the 1800m last time out, missing the frame for the first time, and comes back to the 1400m where he’s 2:2. $4.60 second fav can’t leave him out.

Spotted her after a trial at Pak in April last year, with trainer Peter Moody spruiking her up, suggesting she was gonna break maidens soon, rating her as a city class filly. She ran second, if a touch greenly, but we fancied more to come, and she resumed in December spell after some good jump-outs, and she duly obliged with a dominant display. Backed that up on NY Day, swooping late to win for us. Finished well for third later in the month then ran a very close seventh up in the BM70 grade in early Feb before heading to the paddock. Resumed from a 140 daybreak in late June but faded late. That did her the world of good she ran an improver’s second at Gold Coast mid-July, then won in nice style 17 days ago at Ipswich. A Mallyon’s a nice booking and she looks great value at $13.

We thought a couple of thirds at the picnics might have just sharpened her up a bit for her race 9 days ago, but she ran next to last, but only 6 lengths off. Gets a jockey upgrade to JPH, who was on for one of those thirds, so maybe a place chance based on that, $11 on offer.

Two in this, with Perovic the more likely participant… Noted with the win this T&D two back before up in grade and distance for a fourth in a small field. Up in grade again but back to the 1900m, open betting race, $8, EW for sure.
