Two picks, two thirds yesterday with 5 unit ew recommendations, with Cosmic Rhapsody ($1.90) and Cool Encounter ($3.50) obliging for us…

Trundles along well, especially in the slop (the only going he’s won on) and gets that today. Last three runs for placings, up in grade here but looks a cert for the Bonus Bet, $4.80 on offer

Another racing in good heart without winning, drops in grade, up to the two miles for the first time, only won on heavy, ditto to Zeefa Zed, $9 on offer…

JJ has super stats for this (as does the fav), ran a decent third on resuming 21 days ago, looks a race in two with the fav, $5.50 on offer.
Gospodin also good stats and finished on well for fourth 12 days ago here.

Ran a nice third at odds for us resuming 14 days ago, another heavy tracker, and rates an EW punt again today at $11.

She’s gone three tidy races this prep, finishing on well each time. Likes the heavy and gets Wazza onboard, chance at $17.

Ditto for the wet tracks, though she’s run four eighth placing in a row, going round at big odds. T&D stats are good but she’ll need to improve to figure at $14.

Showed a lot of character with a gritty effort on debut in Jan when headed and fighting back to win on the line. Followed up with a dominant win at New Plymouth in Feb and resumed from a 112 day break 21 days ago needing the run, expecting a bit more from him today, $5 in an open betting race.

Magnetic Prince
Sandown R3
Big effort from Magnetic Prince, resuming at massive odds, very much on pace when resuming from a 209 day break at start of May. Looked like the winner for a long way but was still strong to the line to run a close fourth, marked as a next-timer, will be much fitter for this and wouldn’t discard him for this at $26 in a very open betting race…

Matawai
Sandown R4
Matawai is a former Kiwi filly, noted winning on debit at Taupo in September before heading instantly off to Aus to run in a G2 at Caulfield in October. Has talent and returned 23 days ago from the 215 day break with B Shinn onboard, and ran well fro second the very smart Baraqiel. Can only improve with that run and looks a nice EW punt at $10… Fav has come in for some support and looks the one to beat…

Open race, with our two sitting at $11 and $19… CF has a win and a third this prep, and I like her slightly better over the rise to the mile, watch for her late. CB needed the resuming run 21 days ago here, expect her to be closer today…

With only one run in nearly 600 days, this lad resumed 45 days ago at the Bool, obviously needing the run but not far off. He’s won 8 times from 13 runs, so there’s huge talent there and he’s a G3 winner. Will enjoy the cut in the ground, watch for him late as an $11 shot.

Didn’t handle the rise to this grade 17 days ago, looking to bounce back here. Distance and heavy going suit, could be value at $16.

Amati earned a next-time tag 10 days ago, resuming under JMac and flying home for third at $14,solid EW bet at $8.50 in this over the extra 100m and likes the heavy.
MJ is on a hat-trick, up in grade here, ditto to Amati, $9.
EPO, same again, though less accomplished on the heavy., $10.
All three will be charging home.

Spruiked him up for a win and boy did he justify our confidence after his excellent early career form. Previous run at Eagle Farm suggested he could fill a place or better 28 days ago at Doomben and he duly obliged with a strong win from the back at $20.70/$6.00, another Hall of Fame entry… This is a touch tougher, but now he’s got his mojo back he can feature again here as an $11 shot, only question is the heavy, though he is placed one from one on that.

Needed the resuming run a month back, but noted finishing on form the back, so will take benefit from that/ Fav distance, gets Shinn onboard, EW at $8.50.

EP was out of her class last time but back to a more suitable contest here, super T&D stats, $9.50 shot.
MIT is a G3 placegetter, up in grade but not missed the frame in last seven runs, shot at $14.

He’s in cracking form and steps up to the G3 today chasing a hat-trick after totally dominating his last two. Rates a real chance in this, $8.50 looks generous…

The Inevitable, Antino

This is the Straddy, and the sleeper in this is The Inevitable, a little Tassie pocket-rocket. His stats are phenomenal, he resumed at Doomben three weeks ago with a huge finish from last to seventh, less than two lengths from the winner, you’ll get $23 if you get on now, what value! And don’t leave Antino ($8) out of your exotics, great stats too!

Fawkner Park, Naval College

FK is class, ran third in the G1 Doomben Cup 21 days ago. Has a devastating finish which he should use to effect here over the longer 2200m. Schiller to boot him home at $4.40.
NC was fifth behind FP in that race, so must be afforded some chance in this, even at $21.
