Three placings…
Our first three tips of six got us off to a good start, with three seconds and a third, but the other three unable to add to that place multi we took out…
Valieva ($2.00), Drift Net ($1.00) and Chico Sonado ($3.20) provided the placings, with the latter running a bold race, leading for much of the way.
OK, 30 from the book today, seven from NZ, let’s get them up first, the balance from Aussie.
Nice little nana-bet amongst them today if you like that sort of thing, double up Boy (New Plymouth, R1) with Girl (Caulfield R3).

Spruiked and well-supported on debut in Jan, last out the gates and finished fast for second before a close fifth at Trentham and a closer second here before heading to the paddock. Resumes after 85 day break, hopefully to be ridden a bit closer to the pace and he can win this, joint fav at $2.60, looks like a race in two…

He’s the mudder of all mudders, he’s 0 from 1 on good, 0 from 10 even on soft, and 36:6-12 on heavy, which should explain his chances today, and though his T&D stats are outstanding, it’s just too hard to get past those initial stats… $11 shot.

Been very consistent this prep, and the win at Trentham for us two back at $15 was nice, and he finished well in the slop at Wanganui 14 days ago. Back to his favoured mile, $7 on offer, decent EW chance.

Got the pedigree for sure, but hasn’t placed in his past 12 runs, so we’re really struggling to find some positives for him today. $11 on offer…

La Crique looks like a shoo-in for this, but if he’s having an off-day on resuming, then KL is the one that can take advantage as $8.50 second fav. Rarely far away and gets the in-form Masa onboard, loves the distance, easy EW bet in this.
Millefiori ($19) very consistent without winning, could fill the minors, Not Guilty ($26) has dropped off a little, also a minor chance.
BET: KL 5 units ew, 10 unit quinella with fav. Other two 2 units ew, include in exotics place-wise.

Thought she was a cert to at least place at Bendigo last month but she faded in the run in, previous form had been very good. Up in grade and sticks at the 1400m

PC racing well, fit now and should be right there as $4.60 second fav.
Gregolimo extremely consistent, running at 83% placings in his 18 run career, hard to discard even at $18.
Vardani is an ex-French runner resuming today as the $101 outsider, he’s 0 from 7 at this distance, so hard to make a case…

On-pacer who scampered away with it 16 days ago, we knew he had a second win in him, and now he remembers how to do it, he can repeat here at $15 again. Penza sticks, I like that!

A nice return from Goldman 21 days ago for second in the G3 at Randwick, Bayliss sticks for Gaibott, $2.70 fav, can progress.
Mankayan is another consistent animal, moves up in grade, has heavy form, EW at $12.

Super run from the back on debut 10 days ago, beaten by 9 lengths by the impressive La Pleine Lune, but had the other well beaten. Fred sticks, and if she simply improves on that, she’ll win this, $3.30 co-fav.
