A super start to yesterday as our $16 shot Enrico (4 units ew) was massively backed in to $7.30/$2.50 and shot away to win beautifully under Mereana Hudson after three good runs this prep. Another Hall of Fame entry!
The Years (5 units ew) has endured some long breaks in his career, and resumed yesterday to run second at $1.90. Needed the run, he’s on the watchlist for next time…
And just a mention for $34 shot Loca, who dropped ten lengths coming out of the gate and ran home for fifth just 2.4 lengths off the winner. If they can get his starts sorted, he’s a big odds winner in waiting… we’ll keep you informed…

The unbeaten Crocetti is chasing seven straight wins as $1.85 fav and looks hard to beat, but Waitak’s recent form is impressive and they look likely to fill out the quinella. Habana drops back to the favoured 1400m after failing in the Thorndon Mile and can add value to the exotics.

Broke a run of three seconds 21 days ago at Flem with a gritty win, he’s in good form this prep, only question is, will he get the 2000m? Jye jumps ship, but Zahra not a bad replacement in a tricky, open betting race, $3.80 on offer.

NZ bred mare who won her first six on the spin under Jonny Allen before a fourth in a G1 in April 22 months ago. Headed to the paddock and didn’t return for another 21 months until Boxing Day and has had two runs under Harry Coffey. Allen back onboard today, and she looks ready to win this now as $2.90 fav.
