Scratchings and the abandonment at Devonport left us with 11 from the book yesterday, just the one winner but worth the wait!
The manner of Options’ debut win last month had us confident that he’d be figuring in the finish, the $9 on offer early reduced to $6 on the scratching of our other horse Hot Too Go. Coffey settled him just behind the pace, and when asked to go, he found the same smooth acceleration as on debut, powering away to win effortlessly. One to watch going forward…

She resumed this prep with two fifths in June, she showed massive acceleration to score at Scone in December but failed to fire when seemingly suited up to the mile at Randwick in a tougher Highway race. Returned in late Jan and flew home to seemingly to win only to get nicked on the line, then ran a sixth same T&D. Fitter after the two fifths in mid-June as the apprentice produced a brilliant steer to win by a nostril before struggling in her next two. Back in grade from a Highway previously, she ran an eye-catching second at Scone three weeks ago. Stats from track, distance, going and jockey all outstanding, stand-out winning prospect as $3.70 fav, get on now.

Night Fighter resuming, didn’t show much last prep after showing a lot of promise in his early career. No first-up form, has done OK at this distance, but looks like he’ll need this, $15 on offer…
Pahang is a picnic specialist resuming from a three month break, also no real first-up form and also likely to need this, small EW at $91…
BET: Both 2 units ew, exotics would interesting if they both made the frame!

Ramones is another resuming, OK first-up record without winning, Penza is 6:1-1-1 onboard and won a recent trial which has him in this, though the 1000m looks a tad short, $5 on offer.
MD jumps back up in grade, rarely far off without winning but goes well here (4:2-1-0). Could place again at $9.
