Drops back significantly in class here but his runs so far this prep don’t make great watching, the last 44 days ago in a Midway. Has been running over longer and generally gets back, drops to the 1280m, so he’ll need to be in touch but he is 3:2-0 over this distance. Would appreciate any give in the track, $7.50 on offer.

Another habitual backmarker in a similar mode to the above. Back in grade and back in distance and resuming from a spell (136 days). Early career form was solid and wasn’t far off in two runs last prep. He’s 4:0-4 first-up and presents as the $3.90 fav here in a pretty open betting event.
