Three quick winners!!
A blistering start to our recovery Sunday!
Zeefa Zed (4 units ew) led from pillar to post in the second at Woodville, winning at $5.00/$1.70.
Five Bells (4 units ew) steamed home once again, this time for a Hall of Famer-worthy win at $10.00/$2.00.
And in the opener at Mornington, Girl (4 units ew) dropped in grade and strode home at a very nice $4.80/$1.70.
Went a bit lean after that, with Cornelian Bay (5 units ew) rattling home late for third at $3.10.

Resumes after 112 days after running next to last at Canterbury. Had run a brave second in the Gunnedah Cup in May. Tends to run on the pace, the drop back to 1200m should suit and C Reith (2:1-1) is back up top after riding him in a couple of trials. First-up stats are good 5:2-1 and he’s 1:1 on the track, third fav at $4.60 in an open betting race, can win.

Wanjiru had really dropped away this prep, one thing in his favour 20 days ago was the return to the 1980m, where he’s 3:1-2, and Laura Lafferty returning up top. She parked him midfield, moved him up on the bend, and he was never in doubt as he strode home at $13, and she sticks today. Similar grade and up to 2431m where he’s 4:3-1 and 1:1 on the track, $13 on offer again, watch late again!
The Awesome Son has been out of from for some time now, another backmarker put struggling to find a finish, resumes after 85 days, $41 shot, hard to enthuse…
