EC caught the eye 38 days ago breaking maidens when well-supported with a huge run from the rear. Now he’s got the idea he’ll be hard to beat again as $5.00 co-fav.

GC also ran an improved race a month back at Taupo for second, can find the frame again also as co-fav of three.

The win 21 days ago was dominant and impressive, going for the hattrick today and looks hard to beat, looks like the rise to the mile will suit, $2.00 fav.

Expected Saltcoats to make the hattrick 9 days ago but he got a bit too far back and even his trademark finish was not enough. Rises to the 2400m and fancy him to make amends in this with JMac taking the ride, $3.60 second fav.

RL has run two better fourths but might find this a bit tough at $19.

Rattled home for third, likes the track 3:1-1, $4.20 fav in a big field and rates a decent chance here.

He’s had a very chequered career, with only one win from 18 to date, and resumed early December from a huge break of 508 days, suggesting he might just need the run, as it proved as he never emerged from the pack at huge odds. Better in the next one three weeks later, keep safe EW in this at $19.
