Iron breaks maidens…

We were very positive about Iron Maiden’s chances yesterday resuming after two excellent trials, and she duly obliged with a powerful run from midfield to bury them at a nice $6.60 and getting us a share of a very nice $1400 trifecta!

A second, a third and three fourths rounded out a busy Sunday…

A promising third from Deep Stream a week back, we suspected pushing up to the 2000m would assist after three fast finishes over shorter distance, and that’s exactly how it panned out as he hoovered them up over the last 300m after being last most of the way and paying a juicy $7.40 for the place. We said there’s a win coming, and this could be it, up to the 2100m can only benefit, and he’s set the shed maiden status at the 17th attempt, $6 on offer.
