What a winner…

A winner, three seconds and two thirds yesterday, and what an outstanding winner in Thoros of Myr!

First-up two weeks ago, he attempted to lead all the way and despite being in the lead with 100 metres to go, he blew out to finish next to last. But we knew he’d be fitter, and he simply took off and was still accelerating as he put six lengths on the field, winning at a very nice $7.50.

Two notable seconds, the first was Deeling Aces, in the back two all the way and bolted home, just missing out against her stablemate but paying $3.20 the place, then ex-Kiwi Tikemyson on his second run in Aussie also ran second, this time paying $3.50.

Resumed from a 4 month spell at Taree in late March, where he steamed home late only to get nicked on the line. That will have done him the world of good, and though up in grade, we fancied he could push on three weeks at Tuncurry, but he never emerged from the pack n a BM82, but did far better back in this grade at this track 22 days ago with a solid third. Up a touch in distance, likes the give in the ground, and he’s a very good EW shot in this open betting race at $6.50.
