We recommended watching for our best bet Amarantz (10 unit win) late in the piece yesterday, as she came back from Saturday racing, and boy, did she make us wait!
Seemingly out of it and labouring at the final bend, she managed to weave a way through and get up by the tiniest of margins for a thrilling win at $2.60.
Couple of hefty placegetters too, with Kool Bird (second, $3.00) and Winston Blue (third, $6.00) making the frame at nice odds!
It’s a one-hit wonder Monday, a short-priced fav but it’s better than the bank!

Noted when storming home 14 days ago under B Shinn here, debut run for fourth was a similar effort from the back, so the push out to 1400m looks most suitable. Shinn sticks, $2.30 fav, looks hard to beat, even up against more experienced horse in this big field.
