Tailed off by several lengths shortly after leaving the gate, Mombasa (5 units ew) unleashed a huge run to get up in the tightest of finishes to win by a fingernail at a very nice $5.20/$1.60, replicating his win here 18 days ago…
Carribean King somehow threw a winning position away, running second at $2.10, Donation (3 units ew) ran very well after a big break, running third paying $4.70 the place, and Galenus, Kermantic and Real Gun all ran fourths.
It’s a one-hit-wonder Monday again, bit tight odds-wise but looks like a decent beat-the-bank punt at Bathurst…

Noted resuming 19 days ago from a 4 month spell after she’d won on debut at Nowra in July, running a close second at Wyong. Had previously run first or second in three trials, so obviously has some talent and has upside in this. Winning jockey jumps back onboard and she looks primed to take this out as the $2.00 fav.
