Second and fourth…
A frustrating watch again for The Inevitable as he trucked home well for yet another fourth placing, was never gonna catch the winner, but he needs to find some early pace, or go over a bit further and he’ll be back in the winners’ circle at some point.
Fiendish (3 units ew) ran a close second paying $3, he’s moving towards a win too…

Thereabouts without threatening to win in four runs this prep, but he does like this track (6:1-3) and does possess a decent finish, invariably featuring late in his races. Moloney sticks, and he’s 9:2-2 onboard. Needs to bounce better, but the extra 200m today will help, EW at $15.

Impressive winning her first two, has gone OK since but without threatening to win. Both wins have been over this distance, and she resumed at Bendigo 18 days ago after a 6 month break never got out of the back two. Will have taken benefit from that and the booking of the in-from B Shinn will assist, and she’s a chance at $7.

These two going round at $12 and $16 at the moment.
SC’s two runs for seconds in March had merit, then he never emerged from the ruck at Caulfield before a good finish for a close fifth at Cranbourne in May, and a close third at Sale following that, but to run at Morks 16 days a go was a bit flat. He’s down in grade a touch too, can also finish on from the back, so ditto re- the rise to the mile. Big indicator is the booking of Celine Gaudray, making him well worth an EW punt.
We expected RF, a perennial backmarker, to go close here 14 days ago, especially up to the mile, but he sat in midfield and didn’t figure late as he usually does. Repeats at the T&D today but back to the BM64.
