The vagaries of the new TAB blackbooking system let us down somewhat yesterday by not notifying us that La Opcion was going in the third at Invercargill, we noticed at the last minute and managed to get on for the $19.60/$5.50 reward, and hopefully the astute amongst you would have picked it up too!
The new TAB site has had its teething problems, but they seem to be attending to customers’ comments, and it’s slowly coming right. Certainly no complaints about the speed of payouts, literally seconds after the horses have crossed the line…
Two others from us yesterday, with Ersa (5 units ew) just failing in the tussle down the straight to run second at $1.70…

He was huge from the back when winning at Scone in Feb and followed up at big odds with a third at Tamworth two weeks later. Back at Scone in late March, and we were pretty bullish about his chances in that but he couldn’t produce his trademark late finish, maybe the soft going didn’t help, so a bit concerned about the heavy going today. Fav jockey sticks, $5.50 on offer…
