Three placings…

Our Tauranga tips managed placings yesterday, Marengo getting nicked on the line paying $1.20, while Chakana hung on for third at $2.90.

Very Sewreel tried to sneak away but ran a distance third at $1.20.

Just the three today, and a real mixed bag, small EW trixie methinks…

Bit of an enigma this one, last win nearly two years ago (this T&D) but was spruiked up at Nowra a month ago running a tidy third and earning a next-time flag that he couldn’t convert to a win at Goulburn. Gets M Weir up top, he’s still in BM58 and back up to the 2000m, so watch for him late as a $6 shot…

We tipped him as a chance 37 days ago, and he duly obliged with a superb finish in the Highway at Randwick, paying $38! Cavallo sticks, but he’s unexplainably back from the mile to 1200m today, that won’t suit his get-back pattern, so let’s hope he’s ridden a bit further forward today, $7.50 on offer…
