A win and two fourths…

A winner and two placings from our five yesterday.

Sir Simon (3 units ew) confirmed market support to win at $2.80, with Auf Weidersehen and Fiendish running fourths.

Six from the book as we start a new week, with a strong fav and several excellent EW prospects, with three of them in contention for the late Pakenham qadi.

Impressive winning her first two, gone well without threatening to win since but Shinn got her out fast 28 days ago here and just failed to hang on, in a gritty effort, a sign that she’s on her way back to her best. Both wins have been over the distance. Fitter now, she can win this as $2.40 fav.

Just got trapped a vital time from the inside draw this T&D and grade 14 days ago, and he flashed home for a close fourth. Draw wider, Noonan sticks, no doubt he’ll be flashing home again, $5.50 in a close betting race.

Ran two very close fourths last month, and we were keen 10 days ago but the rise to the 1350m seemingly didn’t suit as she faded to seventh after being handy in the run. A Mallyon back onboard, back to the 1200m where her only win came, $4.60 makes her another decent EW bet.

Returns from a 160 day spell, couple of trials to prepare but long time since he won. Decent track stats though, but $81 seems about right…

Nowra R6

Ran a class record at Quirindi almost a year ago but hasn’t approached that sort of form since, apart from a second at Goulburn in June, but jumped up to 1400m 8 days ago at Forbes and flew home for fourth, suggesting that the mile today will suit nicely. Has won this grade, distance and going, and ready to make the frame today, $8.50 on offer.
