Win and a place, and a couple to watch…
We kicked off our Sunday nicely as War Of Succession (10 unit win, $1.90 if you got on early) blew ‘em away as expected with a dominant 4.5 length win under Opie. He looked very composed, shaking off his previous greenness, and I suspect he’s bound for bigger things…
Seiryu (5 units ew) had shed her maiden tag two weeks ago, and continued up in grade with a nice third, paying $2.80, more to come you feel now she’s got the hang of it.
Twice On Sunday was close as usual, running into fourth.
It’s a one-hit wonder-Monday, with a horse who impressed on debut and looks to continue that as a $6.50 shot today…

Prominent in his 1300m debut and held them off late for a well-supported win at Taree two weeks back. Drops back to the 1200m today, which should be in his favour, winning jockey sticks, and this open betting race doesn’t look too tough. Fancy he can press on as a $6.50 shot.
