Scratching… our heads…

A scratching left us with just the four yesterday, which produced and second, a third and a fourth.

Another frustrating watch as the well-backed and well-fancied Boy flopped out of the gates last, and under the testing conditions, he was always gonna be playing catch-up, finishing well into fourth but far too late…

Even the commentators have dropped him after that run, having spruiked him up several times, and that failure cost us dearly as he let us down for a nice collect in both qadis, being in the pivotal race 4 of a 7 race card, plus our 6 horse place multi…

No doubt he’ll win one, but when?

Should be competitive back into a grade he hasn’t been in for some time, and Jonny Allen sticks. Good stats and is on the 7 day back-up, needs to be ridden closer in the run but a definite EW shot at $6.

Another consistent veteran, also on the quick back-up after a close third 8 days ago at big odds. Pushes up to the mile, which will suit as she tends to get back but has been finishing on recently. If he can maintain that form, he can go close as a $10 shot in this very open betting race…

Noted on debut with a huge finish before winning next up. Not so flash since but generally thereabouts. Trialled up nicely for his return with the new barn and they had him a $2.40 fav, but he just needed the run, finishing a close fourth. Fitter and up to his fav distance and going, he looks a real threat in this, $3.80 second fav.
