A second and two fourths was the nett result from yesterday…
Drift Net supplied the second at $1.30, and it was a promising run for her, resuming after 4 months, on the watch list for next time.
Lord Darci looked likely for a long way, eventually weakening to fourth, while Sir Boo was ridden was ridden for luck from the back, at one point about 15 lengths off the leader and surged home for fourth too. If they can get him anywhere near the pace, and over longer, he’s a winner in waiting…

Our two have had similar starts to their career, winning two from four, but they’ll need to be at their best to beat this impressive fav today…
December is back from G3 and G2 racing, where he’s gone well without threatening the winner, comes in here at $5.50 and gets Wazza up top.
Meanwhile Aquilifer, who was impressive on debut at Wanganui in November when she simply ran away from them under Jasmine, and followed that up with two very ordinary runs before heading to the paddock. Resumed after 78 days, with Jasmine back up top 19 days ago at Hastings and bounced straight into it with a gritty win for us, $8.50 today.

Some track specialists on show here in this small field, a handy stat at the Valley, but we’ll stick with Philosopher here, as does Ms Gaudray, winner onboard at this T&D 14 days ago to make it 4 from 5 this prep. Up in grade as they all are, but happy to stick with him as $2.40 fav.
Unflinching resumes after 4 months away, again, tremendous T&Ds and first-up stats, just might need the run though, $6.50 on offer…

Girl consistently raced well in higher grades in the middle of last year, including a close third to subsequent metro winner Wishlor Lass in October. Back after a 112 day spell, and Shinn also onboard, she resumed at Ballarat 23 days ago and she duly put them to the sword. Races near the pace, Shinn sticks, and though back up to BM70 is well capable of taking this out as $2.15 fav in a small field. MR resumes, may need the run at $5, and I Never Dreamed was spruiked and backed on debut and bolted home at October. Followed up at Pak with a close fifth, $6.50 on offer here, can feature.

A shock defeat for Jimmystar to the 150-1 shot Makram three weeks ago cast a small cloud over him, and there’ll be all eyes on him to bounce back today as $1.50 fav. Rustic Steel resumes from a 3 month spell, another with nice stats, EW shot at $10.
