Another storming winner…
Ashburton inevitably abandoned yesterday, it was like a swamp in the end, but not before a cracking Hall of Fame win for Storms Ahead. Up in grade from his maiden win three weeks ago and Tina rated him well as he sliced through the field for an easy win despite the betting drift, getting up for us at a delicious $14!
Eye Spy just got too far back but ran home well for fourth. The other two victims of the abandonment…
Six from the book today, with three stand-puts for me, at least we should get through on the Awapuni synthetic OK…
TGIF Super Six!!
Lurch, Free Spirit
Awapuni Synthetic R2
Lurch repaid our confidence in him this T&D 11 days ago with a super win for us. Up in grade but C Dell sticks, looks hard to beat as $3.20 fav.
Free Spirit finding it tough this prep.
BET: Lurch 10 unit win, FS 2 units ew
Kereti, Ardee Boy, Gee String
Awapuni Synthetic R6
Kereti resumes after 4 months and is 2:1-1-0 first-up and ran second in a recent trial. Looks hard to beat as $2.70 fav.
Ardee Boy is progressing nicely this campaign, running a tidy third a month ago this T&D, easy EW punt at $8.
Gee String is struggling to make an impact this prep, hence the $23 on offer…
BET: K 10 unit win, AB 5 units ew, GS 2 units ew, exotics
Dillinger
Ballarat Synthetic R7
He’ll find the drop in grade to his advantage, and he has won in higher grade. Steps up to the 2100m for the first time, but he’s a get-back type and should be finishing on well. Good track stats (3:1-1-0).
BET: 5 units ew
