RF resumed at big odds 23 days ago at Sandown, and produced his usual backmarking style to run on for a nice second at $21, no disgrace behind the well-thought-of winner in Plenty of Ammo. Nice second–up form and the $7 looks like really good value, Billy Egan hops onboard, he’ll be screaming home late…
Wailua is another backmarker who also resumed last month, finishing well too for fourth at the Bool at $61. Up to the mile should suit, EW chance at $19.

Went in the book 13 months ago, bolting in here in an 800m dash, same as today. She’s an on-pacer, a must in these short-course races, and hopefully Jake Bayliss can get him flying out the gates and give them something to catch. $6 in an open betting race, EW all day as she’s ready to peak third up.

Spruiked and backed to break her maiden in October and duly obliged at short odds. Close up in subsequent two runs at CL2, drops back to CL1, and the booking of Benny Looker is significant, looks hard to beat as $2.40 from the inside draw.

The little pocket-rocket is back after running second to Indispensable 16 days ago. Has run in some bigger races, and fancy him to reverse that defeat today, hopefully Pires will have him closer in the run and the mile should suit him better today. $1.30 fav, beat-the-bank odds…
