A knockout winner!
A rousing win by former Kiwi Tikemyson yesterday, he bolted away from them at the last bend and won with a leg in the air at a very juicy $9.10!!
A baker’s dozen from the book on TGIF, including the first night meeting of the spring at Moonee Valley, let’s fill those wallets ahead of the weekend!!
13 for TGIF!!
Honey Badger
Otaki R5
2:58pm
Very consistent this prep, hasn’t missed the frame in any of his five races so far, ad the young Nabber jumps onboard. Loves the heavy ground, Easy EW bet as $5 second fav.
BET: 5 units ew
Enrico
Otaki R7
4:05pm
Not far away at all on resuming three weeks ago this T&D, will only have improved from that, EW again as second fav, $6.50 o offer.
BET: 4 units ew
Edge Of Midnight
Scone R3
4:50pm
Three runs into this prep and ready to win after a second a third and a fourth. Enjoys the firmer footing, but will need to jump well from the draw over this shorter 900m. A Roper back up top (4:1-1-1), another easy EW punt as $.20 second fav…
BET: 5 units ew
Great Point
Scone R6
6:45pm
We were very bullish about Great Point’s chances at Tamworth 18 days ago after her eye-catching second here five weeks ago back plus her outstanding stats, and despite the betting drift, she powered home for a superb win, paying $5.10, and providing us with a share of the trifecta… Winning apprentice sticks, and though up in grade, she’s a real chance in this at $6.50.
BET: 4 units ew
Dreamstone
Benalla R7
6:15pm
A touch disappointing two weeks ago at Seymour, but gets a jockey upgrade today with Blaike Mcdougal onboard (1:1) and steps up to a distance where she’s 2:2 and on the firmer ground she enjoys. Can bounce back here, $9 looks generous, EW all day…
BET: 5 units ew
I Am The Empire
Benalla R8
6:55pm
Very consistent this prep, only missed the frame once and as 2:1 at the distance, Jett Stanley a nice booking, $8 shot
BET: 4 units ew
Sunshineinmypocket, Ndola
Moonee Valley R1
8:15pm
SIMP is back from a five month break, and look at his stats… 2:2 first-up, 2:2 at the distance, 7:5-1-0 on good going… First time round the Valley, so can’t afford to get too far back but has a wicked finish. Has warmed up for this with a couple of trials, must be thereabouts, $5 shot.
Ndola also resuming, and possesses decent stats himself. Has won first-up, has also trialled well and has won at the distance, though generally better over further. Can feature under L Currie (8:3-2-1), $8.
BET: SIMP 5 units ew, Ndola 4 units ew, definite exotics…
Unflinching, Philosopher
Moonee Valley R3
9:15pm
Unflinching resuming from a seven month hiatus, won his only race last prep beating Oak Hill no-less, very strong form indeed! Stats to die for, trialled up well, he’ll be out of those gates like a rabbit and should prove hard to catch round this tight track, $4.80 on offer.
Philosopher resumes also, also a short-course specialist and has won two from five first-up. More great stats, has to included in calculations, even at $15…
BET: U 5 units ew, P 4 units ew, more exotics ammo…
Esha
Moonee Valley R5
10:15pm
The win here in August was eye-catching, and she followed that up with a close eighth behind Baraqiel in the Moir, though had some issues from that race. Very fast horse, at 1200m for the first time, but she’s come through those issues, she can run these off their feet, $2.90 fav.
BET: 10 unit win
Baraqiel, Alabama Lass
Moonee Valley R7
11:15pm
Lots of chances in the Manikato, if you can stay awake, and we’ve got two of them…
Baraqiel ($5) got up to edge out Alabama Lass ($6) in the Moir, he’s 4:4 round here, stats are amazing, and fancy him to edge out AL again, but they’ll both need to be at their best the beat this hot fav in Lady Shenandoah, who has the carpark draw in her first race here but she’s a classy mare who ran second in the Concorde. Should be a great race!
BET: Both 5 units ew, exotics with the fav.
