Second, third and fourth…
Another painful watch for More Than Words yesterday, ridden far too far back again for a midfield finish, while Destiny’s Girl was heavily backed in the same race and did nothing to confirm that support at all…
A second for Such A Whit (2 units ew, $1.70), a third for the resuscitated The Awesome Son with his obligatory late finish (3 units ew, $3.10) and a fourth for Telling Tales.
Been a bit lean for us this week, but Murphy’s Law says we’ll bounce back… Seven from the book, let’s fill those wallets ahead of the weekend…

A good resuming second at Tauranga in March, but was miles off in the on the bottomless tracks. Was better suited back on good going last time out over the shorter trip running a decent third. Back up in distance but I’d be worried about the heavy going. $5 on offer…

Good staying performance last time out here to win for us at $8. Good stats, up in grade, but still a chance at $10.

Ran ‘em ragged a year ago then ran OK in a couple of good 3YO events. Returned from a 5 month spell at Geelong in Jan, running a close second with an eyecatcher, We spruiked him up 10 days ago on resumption here, suggesting it might be short for time, and he flew home for third. The extra 200m plays right into his hands today. Tight betting contest, but he’s a great chance in this at $4.40.

Not been doing a lot since her last win over 2 years ago but does have good stats for this, including first-up, but hard to see why she’s currently the $3.50 fav here today…

Ran an improved race to finish fifth at Newcastle three weeks back at $101. Perennial backmarker, and the extra distance should suit, maybe an EW chance today at $12…

She was pretty consistent early in her career and went well on her return in April for third here. Trained locally and ran a fast-finishing second for us a month back, so the 1206m should help today. First time on the AWT though, $7.50 on offer…
