Denied a run earlier this week but resumed nicely at Tamworth 24 days back with a solid second after over a year away. Will have taken real benefit from that run, and though up in grade, the extra 100m should be in his favour, Blake Spriggs sticks, $18 looks generous, keep very safe.

Won her first three and then returned from a spell with three runs up in grade, close but without threatening to win. Resumed 23 days ago with a close second at Caloundra, will be better for that, and fav jockey in Justin Huxtable (3:2-1) sticks, and she strikes a very winnable race as $2.25 fav.

Former Kiwi going round at big odds in her last prep but was edging closer before heading to the paddock, and returns here after five months away. In her last race at Townsville, she was out so slowly you would have thought she was in the next race, and was still at the back on the last bend, seemingly going nowhere, but then spotted a gap – still ten lengths away – and produced a huge burst to get up to third, just two half-lengths from the winner, paying a juicy $6.30 the place, earning a next-time flag, and here she is… First stats are 3:1-1, and while her career stats of 21:1-5 might not inspire much confidence, she’s capable of featuring here in this very open betting race at $8, another to keep safe, watch for her late…
