That’s better!!
Couple of nice winners yesterday as we spruiked up our best bet in Compelling Truth (10 unit win) to make it four in a row, and despite a small drift as fav, he absolutely spanked ‘em by nearly four lengths, paying $2.20. You can go buy back the farm now…
The other winner was Secret Location (8 unit win) the only real query being the soft ground, but he too ate it up, and once they rounded the final bend, there was never a doubt as he romped in by a similar margin as CT at $2.90.
Bringyaticket (5 units ew) was well-supported in to fav, and once again flashed home for a close third at $1.70, no doubt there’s a win coming for him shortly, just needs to get a touch closer in the run…
Night Fighter was also fav but couldn’t quite see it out, running a close fourth, but he’s still firmly on our radar…

Inconsistent, a better run 14 days ago for second at odds, but he’s awfully hard to catch. T&Ds suggest an EW show in this as $5.50 second fav in an open race…

Good form at the end of last year but form this prep has been, well, indifferent… Has T&D form here and A Morgan won on his only ride on him here in November, but he’ll need to improve significantly to take this out… $8.50 on offer.

He strung a series of good performances together about 18 months ago but hasn’t carried on with it. Rarely far away, but resumes from a 234 day break here, and also bears some decent T&D figures, plus a good first-up record (4:1-2). Up in grade, $7 in a very open betting race, so pay to keep safe.

After running two last-of-elevens in June, he was surprisingly well-supported 19 days ago at Casterton, and while prominent in the run, as usual, he hung on for fourth, but inexplicably he’s up in grade and distance here. Has won in this grade and jockey has had some success onboard (7:2-1), but scratching my head to see how he’ll win this…
