Slim pickings…
We had big hopes for Royal Wings yesterday after her big $61 win for us a couple of weeks ago, but she didn’t finish it off.
Kermantic ran a better race as we thought, finishing strongly up in distance for a solid second at $3.10, could be close to a win, while Tidal Impact ran fourth.
It’s ladies’ day today, with all four tips being mares, and all in contention, so we’ll be gathering these into an EW Yank of some sort…

Serial backmarker who did nothing on resuming, and on the face of it doesn’t strike us with a lot of confidence… However, two of her three wins have been at this distance under Jonny Allen and has won and placed second-up. $8 is a bit lean considering, but that support has us giving her another chance here, especially as she drops hugely in grade from recent runs, including G3 and BM84 down to this BM64

Very consistent mare, usually up around the pace and the drop back to 1800m should suit. Looks a solid EW punt at $6…

Small field, and Amati dropping back in class after also racing in higher grades, second fav here at $2.80/$1.70. Up against a hot fav who’s won three on the spin, but picking class will count for our girl.

FORTY FOUR CUBITS
Moruya, 6
Bolted in on debut last April at Wagga, then fifth before heading to the paddock for 259 days. Resumed 11 days ago well-supported but needing the run and can step up here as $4.60 second fav in a very tight betting race. Will appreciate today’s track conditions.
