Very appealing…
A cracking all-the-way win from Court of Appeal as he gave nothing else a chance despite the drift in betting, winning at $4.
A few scratchings reduce us to eight on TGIF, and plenty of winning chances!
Eight for TGIF…
Sapphires Son
Goulburn R2

Much-improved this prep, this is his distance and if he should be able to get on-pace from the draw in this small field, he can give them something to catch as $3.50 second fav.
BET: 8 unit win

Not too far off on resuming on the heavy two weeks ago, would have preferred firmer footing but should appreciate the push out to 1300m. EW shot at $8.

Outclassed in the Highway in his previous run but the third here subsequently two weeks ago was tidy enough. Scratchings have reduced the field, negating his previously tricky draw, and over the shorter 1100m he’s a real chance in this with the in-form P Boudvillain up top as $2.70 fav.
BET: 10 unit win
Ferago
Geelong R5
5:30pm
Noted late June with a last-to-first win at Ballarat. Strangely dropped back to the 2015m at Warracknabeal but managed a close second, and even more strangely, drops back to the 1700m for this. Back in grade, rates a chance softer ground brings him right into this, $7 on offer…

Guerite
Geelong R6
6:10pm
Very consistent and has produced two fast finishes from the back in her two runs this time in. The stretch out to 1400m looks ideal, Fred Kersley is 4:1-1-1 up top, think she gets home in this, $4.20 second fav.
BET: 10 unit win
Bullet Wing
Bordertown R4
5:10pm
Very consistent last prep, resuming after five month, has won first-up and has trialled up twice for this. First time at the track and this distance but has form on soft going, presents as a $3.80 fav here
BET: 10 unit win

His resuming run in July was excellent but he’d been a few lengths off them in two subsequent runs. The move up to 1830m worked 17 days ago as he produced a gritty display to fight back late for the win. J Huxtable sticks, this is no harder and he can go on with it as $2.90 fav.
BET: 10 unit win

Showed some ability a couple of years back, and hadn’t been far off in his runs this prep until outclassed in a BM82 a month ago at Taree, running dead last. Dropped to a BM58 11 days ago with an encouraging run and he finished well despite getting held up briefly on the run in the run third paying $3.50. We marked him as a next-timer and here he is, a little up in grade and distance but rates another EW shot at $27.
