We move on…

Nothing from out two yesterday, but a busier Friday looms, let’s have a look at our six from the book, with a couple of last-time winners on offer…

TGIF Six-pack!

ANDERSONS BAY

Woodville, 1

Debut run for second was full of merit, when he ran a bit green, and we fully expected him to follow that up three weeks ago at Otaki, only for him to run sixth. Fannin is an interesting booking up top, he’s up to the mile and can back on track here as $2.50 fav in the opener.

KEW PLAYER

Geelong, 6

Back-marker who’s not going that well at the moment, can’t see the drop back to 1100m helping, $16 shot.

TEENTEE

Geelong, 8

He’s gone well under Yendall previously, clearing maidens nicely in September. Today’s apprentice jumped on next, he’s ridden a couple of places in three runs onboard, and he resumes today from a 162 day break. Trialled up three weeks back, he can feature late here if he’s ready to go, $10 on offer.

SPRING VALLEY

Mackay, 4

She went in the book breaking her maiden in August 2022, with a huge finish at Pak, after a series of nice placings. Hadn’t done much since but resumed from a 136 day break in late Feb, dropping significantly in grade but also in distance, but finishing well from the back as usual to run second and earn a next-time flag, and boy did that work 24 days ago at this T&D! The extra 300m suited her just right, and we watched her settle in the run about midfield, and once they rounded the final bend, there was never gonna be another winner as she smashed them by nearly three lengths at a juicy $10.20/$2.60 and earning a place in our Hall of Fame… Up in grade today, but now she’s got the hang of it, no reason she doesn’t go well again today, $11 shot.

NARITO

Canberra, 7

Not sure he’s going well enough but will be fitter third up, $26 on offer.

BOLD RESPONSE

Cranbourne, 5

Won three in a row  last year at BM58 before a couple of failures at BM64. Resumed from a 176 day spell back in grade three weeks ago at this T&D and led all the way for a nice win despite a betting drift. Winning jockey sticks, up in grade, but a repeat will see him figure in this as a $6.50 shot.
