Bit of hype about the well-bred The Other Straand on her debut in late December where she was duly well-supported but jumped slowly, ran very greenly and finished a poor last, but was put in the book to keep an eye on. Second last when resuming in early May, but they must have known something nine days ago as she won with a leg in the air by 6 lengths on a heavy track. A filly going places, the $6.50 looks tempting, get onboard early!

Brial Rose resumes, she’s a handy mare and seems certain to feature in this at $4.20.
