No chocolates for Le Chocolat when resuming yesterday, Waller was pretty buoyant about him, but he only plodded into third despite trialling up well, maybe needed the run.

Winning Aces ran around sixth, looking like he might place at odds but faded late…

CS was a frontrunner in his early career who’s not shown much this prep, and has not been as prominent this time round… Only win was on debut, albeit a gritty on-pace victory at Sandown over two years ago. Will need to improve to figure but he’s $5.50 joint fav with FS, who faded badly up to the 2200m 9 days ago, running last, but prepared to give her a better shot at this one with L Meech up top.

Resumes from a 2980 day spell, and hasn’t won for almost two years. The mile is his fav distance and doesn’t mind some cut in the ground but really does need to improver to figure at $26.

Just the one win from 17 but she’s generally not far off. Placed two from four first-up resuming from a 250 day spell, fav jockey sticks, decent T&Ds, might need the run but keep safe at $11…

SL needed the run when resuming in March, and wasn’t too far off, then ran a close sixth before another break. He’s 5:2-0 first-up and goes well over the 1200m, back in grade he could threaten in this if he gets away well, $9 on offer.

GL needed the resuming run, and while he’s win second-up, he’ll need to improve somewhat to figure in this as the $126 outsider…

Ran two last placings in first two runs of this prep, but ran a bit better 15 days ago at Townsville. Early career form was impressive, needs to jump well and find that form, but he does like the track (6:2-1) and is 8:4-3 on soft going, so keep safe at a juicy $31…
