Well yesterday we really gave the bookies a solid beating, six of the best, trousers down, with a few Hall of Famers thrown in for good measure!!
Wingatui proved a superb hunting ground where we had four winners out of our five, the only reason the fifth one didn’t win was because it was in the same race as one of the winners, lets go through them…
Cool Aza Rene was a drifting favourite but was resilient down the home straight, getting up at $3.
Interlagos, back on turf after a couple of fails on AWT put them away in good style, paying a huge $23.80.
Eye Spy next time, and he plotted an inside path to get home at $8.10.
And Lord Darcy, resuming after an 8 month break, rocked home at $13.30.
Some super exotics in there if you managed to get onboard!
Over at Sandown, last week’s late scratching He’ll Rip produced a late burst to get up in a very close finish, paying $8.90, while Cornelian Bay stepped up at $3.30, providing the quinella with Thoros of Myr.
Not a bad day at the office, 32% of our thoroughbreds providing a win, and 52 a return!
