A first and a second…
Nice winner in Bifrost (4 units ew) with a beautifully-timed run under Jett Stanley to win at $7.00/$2.00.
Chief Witness (4 units ew) looked the winner until nicked on the line, running second at $2.10, more to come with a little give in the ground…
Four today, all with a chance!

Si Si Milano
Kyneton R4
He’d been tracking along well and resumed six weeks ago from a 148 day break. Ran seventh of seven in his last ran at Flem before the break but that was in a Listed race and we fancied he’d go well on resuming but he really didn’t feature. Raced at the back 21 days ago, running fifth of six as the outsider, and will be fitter for that, C Gaudray is a nice booking and rates a chance at $5 in this small field.
BET: 5 unit win
Canny Hell, Real Gun
Albury R7
Canny Hell’s early career form was impressive before heading to the paddock for a 273 day spell. Resumed needing the run in early Feb, then improved at Wagga two weeks later for fourth before sitting near the speed there again 19 days ago and getting up at $12 for us. Looks like he’ll be around the mark again at $5.50 in a close betting race.
Real Gun has been right around the mark this prep, has a decent strike rate and this is his fav distance, $19 looks generous.
BET: CH 4 units ew, RG 3 units ew, exotics
Mombasa
Geraldton R6
We weren’t sure the drop back to 1413m last time would suit but he flew home for a close second and the rise back up to 1623m and his fav T&D suggests he’ll be competitive in this at $8. Last start jockey sticks,
BET: 4 units ew
