Another nice winner…
Nice win for Aquilifer (10 unit win) as she got up at $2.90 in her second go at this grade.
Efforkat ran a better effort than recent runs, finishing fourth.

Got trapped on the fence when resuming in early Jan but found a gap and weaved through for a super win. Tried to lead all the way four weeks ago at Trentham just getting nicked late, drops in grade and looks hard to beat with Wazza onboard as $3.60 fav.

Similar story with this filly, hasn’t run a bad race and looks another $3.60 fav hard to beat with Kennedy sticking.

Irish Legacy, Karman Line
Matamata R6
Irish Legacy tends to get a bit fractious at the gate as she did at Tauranga 19 days ago, but that didn’t stop her breezing in. $7.50 in this, and Elliot naturally jumps ship for the fav but still think she’s a super EW bet in this.
KL has been running in harder than this without threatening, she’d be a threat if she finds her best form, $26 on offer.

This fav looks very hard to beat, with Freddie Time running fifth behind her 13 days ago, but the $19 on offer makes her a real value EW shot and a contender to fill the exotics placings.

RAD resumes after 168 days after finishing last prep with three wins for us, he’s 2:2 first-up, a proven on-pacer dropping back to the 1400m, he’s gonna give ‘em something to chase down, $4.4, super stats…
BS resumes also and was in very consistent form prior, not missing the frame in seven runs. Stats are also off the charts but generally been going over longer, so this may be a tune-up for him…

Switzerland was massively impressive in the Coolmore, giving them a start and a beating and resumes here as fav at $2.70. Looks like race in two with Growing Empire.
Joyful Fortune was resuming from800 days away last month, and under the circumstances did well to run a close third after leading for much of the way. This is probably a step too far for him class-wise but could fill a place at $41.
Philosopher is at the same price, a last-time winner but this looks too much for him as well.

He was massively impressive winning two races in May in dominant fashion, before running a strange race, very stop-start, but looked the winner about 200m out as he hit the front only to fade late in a blanket finish for a second at Wagga in June. Couldn’t quite catch the winner 14 days ago at Rosehill, interesting that they’ve got him out to 1800m when it looked like a shorter distance might suit, but still expect him to go close here as $4 fav.
