Three winners for Anniversary Day!!
A banging start to the week yesterday, with three of our first four tips winning, the other running second to one of the winners!!
Vistown (4 units ew) followed up an improver’s fourth with a nicely-timed run from Jasmine, winning at $4.50/$1.50.
Ever Charm (5 units ew) repeated his win from last month with a superb finish to get up at $6.10/$2.20, with Global Currency (3 units ew) filling second, and if you jumped into the exotics as suggested, the quinella paid $13.70, the tri paid $74.20 and the qadi a nice $714.
Puntin (10 units ew) duly filled in his hattrick, paying $2.50.
Saltcoats ran third at $1.30 as did Prepare For Change at $3.50.
Not a bad day on the punt for 99c!!

Spruiked up and well-supported on debut and charged home for fifth, and we’ve been waiting for him to repeat but without much joy… Resumed from a 221 day spell three weeks ago, after trialling twice without threatening, we thought he might need the run and so it proved but he wasn’t far off, finishing well late for fourth at big odds, so we’re definitely going again today, $8.00 on offer, up to 1800m, watch late!

Expected he might make the frame 25 days ago at Stawell but as in his first race of the prep, he came out last and stayed there. Generally improves third-up, but he’ll need to, $12 on offer.

He’s proving hard to catch for us this prep, generally not to far off the pace in the run but not finishing them off, maybe the drop back to 1000m may help but he’s up in grade and currently the $101 outsider. Has talent, because he ran a class record back in August 2023…

Got out well as usual 16 days ago but faded late to run last after tow good efforts for second. Open betting race, she’s $12 in this but needs to improve from that run to figure here.

He was huge on resuming in early May at the Bool when sent out a big odds and shot home for second earning a next-time sticker, however he ran an ordinary race at Geelong for sixth. We were happy to forgive that run as he cleaned them out at Donald in his next run in June from a dominating position before he headed to the paddock. Two runs resuming this spell were a bit plain but we expected he’d be fitter for them and so it proved as he flashed home from near-last to just miss, running second and earning the next-time tag. T Stockdale jumps on, he’s up to the 1733m which will suit his race pattern, $4.40 fav in an open event.
