A tremendous effort yesterday, with an 80% strike rate from our ten tips!

Luxuriant (8 unit win) got us off to a great start on the synthetic at Cambridge with a huge return to form over the 970m scamper, sitting just off the pace and once they came round the last bend there was never gonna be another winner as she gave ‘em a bath after being backed in to $2.80.

The other winner was over at Sandown, where Scissor Step (5 units ew) powered home ahead of the more fancied Inundation, paying a juicy $7.10/$2.20.

A series of seconds for Matriarch Rose ($1.40), Fox Gem ($1.40) and a very encouraging pair of resuming runs from our insider tip Rose Noir, paying $4 on return, and Amarantz paying $6.80, both on next-time watch…

A couple of fourths rounded out our day, with Jaykayan also resuming (another on the watch list) and Hayai Mesu producing his usual big finish…

MTW is good on her day but a tad hard to catch. Ran a better fourth 12 days ago, drops in grade today, her T&D stats make excellent reading and Tina’s one from one onboard, sleeper at $9.

Amberecho ran behind MTW in that last race after a tidy third previously under Tina. Hasn’t won for over a year, outsider’s chance at $21.

Sassman also ran at the same meeting, and as we suggested, needed to be nearer the pace and that’s where he landed, powering home at a beautiful $27.20 for us. Up in grade, down in weight, but gets Lisa up top, $5 in a very open betting event…

Hard to catch, the third two back was better but need to improve to figure at $23.
