No luck at the midweeks…

Well we came unstuck yesterday with two very fancied runners failing to get up for us, with Yosemite Falls running fourth and Saulok down the track…

Three again today, curiously all at $8 as we speak, looks like a small EW Trixie the go today…

Capable of throwing in the occasional win but hasn’t won since last May. Rarely far away, no success at this track but this is his distance and he;ll this a touch easier than at MV three weeks ago. Billy jumps onboard (2:1-1), he likes the going, so EW for him at $8.

His two wins late last year were something else, swooping home from last in big field to get up and win, one of them when he missed the start by 5 lengths. It seemed the jump to 2100 from the mile would suit last time out, but maybe it was a step too far for him, plus the grade rise. Back to BM58 here, but curiously also back to 1213m. He’ll need to be closer in the run in order to unleash that late dash, if so he’s a real threat in this at $8 especially with those T&D stats…

His career has been a bit stop-start, but his return last month for fourth at $81 was encouraging, however he failed to back that up two weeks later as he faded late at Pinjarra. Has had some success at the mile, down in grade a touch, and yet again an EW shot at $8…
