A nice placing…
Outsider Tactfull was well supported late on and ran a solid race to run second, paying $4.20 the place.
Would be nice to fill the wallets ahead tomorrow’s big day, but we only have three from the book to help you do that, two in the same race, and only two meetings in Aus, no doubt we’ll have a bagful of tips tomorrow. Anyway, let’s have a look…

Two significant scratchings in Bizot, and Matriarch Rose (one of ours) has left this a very open event.
Former Kiwi BR went over to Aus with a reputation joining the Hayes barn, starting fav here a month ago running a close sixth. Better under Noonan 17 days ago at Pak, running on late for fourth. Jockey sticks, and the extra 200m will suit, watch for him late as the $5 second fav.
JJ finished ahead of him in that first run, then a seventh up in grade 15 days ago. Has T&D form and is another late finisher, which rates him a decent EW punt at $8.50.
BET: BR 5 units ew, JJ 4 units ew, exotics.

Went in the book 14 days ago with an astonishing burst which took him from last in a 12 horse field to a three length win. In the form of his career this prep, looks like a sell-the-farm proposition today at $1.55
