Nicer winner…
It was two of our lesser lights that came to the fore yesterday…
Establishment (3 units ew) takes top spot, back to his best distance on his fav heavy tracks, he got up by a short margin at a very juicy $15.40/$3.60.
Auf Weidersehen (2 units ew) reversed previous form this prep with a sustained run that saw him almost overhaul the winner, but a nice second in any event at $3.30.
Chokito made fourth, but the big disappointment was Vindicator with an other ordinary ride IMHO, ridden way to far back and only got going when it was all over…
And it’s seven again from the book, with a couple of sleepers at big odds…

Defied his rank outsider status three weeks ago top bolt home for a narrow win here at $17 for us. Now he’s got the idea he can do it again at $6.

Flashed home for third for us here on the same day as FS, last two runs have been better, and he’s a chance at $16 in this.

CB has settled back in the run and flashed home for a third and a second in his last two, hoping he’ll take a more prominent role today as he gets his preferred distance and going. EW shot at $5. BJ has run a second and a fourth this prep at the picnics, that’s not enough to win this as a $51 shot.

CHILE CHILE
Tamworth, 1
A huge finish to win his maiden last August put him in the book but he’s been some way off that in subsequent runs… Has won and placed on heavy but has been running at anything between 1200 ans 2200m, so not sure where his strength lies… $8 shot here, may place.

DEVINE MISS, LEGAL CHALLENGE
Goulburn, 8
DM was superb early on, racking up three wins and three seconds in her first six races. Was a bit plain in her next spell but has returned in good order this prep with three good runs from the four, the other being out of her class. Back in grade here, jockey has placed 2/2 on here, EW chance at $13. LC noted in July two years ago with a stunning win from last and followed up with some close runs here before heading to the paddock for 22 months. Had trialled twice for his return 17 days ago without catching the eye, but finished very fast and ran a very close fifth less that a length from the winner at Nowra. Jay Ford takes the ride, and based on that, I reckon he’s today’s sleeper at $17.
