We spruiked up this front-runner last time out when he was paying $15, and he just got nabbed by a roughie at the death. The drop back to 1300m can only work in his favour, and he gets his chance to record win number ten here as $5 fav in a good betting field.

Well-backed on debut in August, we’ve been waiting for him to resume, the run from last to run second was huge, and natural progression would suggest he’ll be too good for this lot as the $2 fav.

Ran fifth here under same conditions 9 days ago, will need to find something to get in the frame today, $10 shot.

Nowra, 4
Doesn’t win out of turn, and resumes in this over 1200m, short of his best distance. $26 on offer.

DEVIL RACER
Nowra, 6
He’s been pretty consistent this prep, and came from a long way back at Wyong last month to run fifth. Up a touch in grade but he can figure in this at $9.50.

Impressive enough when winning two in March, in better grade than this, but hasn’t really gone on with it. Stats ordinary for this, $4.80 in a small field.

Albany, 4
Won for us here at $41 last March but shown nothing since. Ran last here on resuming on Boxing Day, can only hope that sharpened him up for this… $71 shot, but, hey, he’s surprised us before!!
