Not sure how Little Max (5 units ew) got beat in that blanket finish at Bendigo, he’d fought them off brilliantly down the straight only to be bloused out by a superb finish by the fav. At $2.80 we got money back, he’s in fine fettle and on our radar for a win real soon…

Sertin got back in the last at Dalby, but rattled home late, feel that there’s something to be had soon with him…

Resumed at Randwick three weeks ago after a six month break, running last, needed the run. Seems to be a win-or-nowhere animal, certainly drops in grade today and has won at this distance. At $41 he’ll need to improve, so a small ew bet.

She produced an amazing burst from last at Moruya 12 days ago to break maiden ranks, and while obviously moving up in grade, can be competitive over the extra 100m today at $17. Overmeire jumps ship to ride Another Cognac, I’d cover them both and include in exotics.

He ran a decent third as fav on resumption last month, looking like he needed the run and was marked as next-time… Has won second up. Better suited in the firmer ground, he’s an on-pacer who is capable of taking this out at $7.50

He produced a huge finish at Wyong last month to get up and win after a 5 month spell, so the subsequent failure at Newcastle three weeks later was a surprise… Gets his fav jock back onboard, and sports good stats around that plus distance and going. Well-related, and can bounce back today as a $12 outsider…
